The installation is quite simple and very similar to the washing machine installation. You would need a 16 amp power supply port, a water connection is required for water inlet and one drain outlet space for waste water flow.
Design and Overview
This LG Dishwasher does look very premium, we get the touch panel control. When we open the door, we get the dishwasher dispenser for rinse air, tablet/detergent. We have the quad wash spray arm. The spray arms keep changing and moving the direction if we rotate the spray arm. We get one drain filter below that which we have to clean once every month, as all the waste gets accumulated at that place. And then we have a place given where we have to add the dishwasher salt. The upper rack of this dishwasher is adjustable.
Touch Panel
Starting from the left, we first have the power button, then we have all the cleaning modes. In the center of the touch panel we have a digital led display for the timer, around which we have some led indicators for rinse aid, machine clean, salt and wi-fi. Moving toward the right side we have some efficiency options – Dual Zone, Half Load, Energy Saver and then we have some performance options as in if you need Extra Steam, Extra Dry or High Temperature. And then we have the Delay Start option and at last we have the Start button. We also have a feature of child-lock, for which we need to hold the Half Load + Energy Saver buttons together for 3 seconds to enable or disable the child-lock.

Wash Quality
The washing quality is excellent. We are getting around 90-95% good results and all the utensils would be 90% dry after wash cycle is completed. Here are some sample utensils wash quality after and before.
Dishwasher Requirements
Dishwasher Salt: Using a Dishwasher Salt is optional, it can be used if the water in your region is very hard, in that case you must use the Dishwasher Salt. The Dishwasher Salt doesn’t actually enter the Dishwasher instead it flows through the softener unit before being drained with the waste water. This costs around Rs.100-150 for 1 kg depending on the brand you use and it lasts for up to 2-3 months depending upon your usage.
Rinse Aid: The Rinse Aid helps in drying your utensils. The main reason to use a Rinse Aid is to get rid of water spots, which can be particularly problematic if you have hard water. Rinse Aid will cost you around Rs.100-250 for 400 ml depending on the brand you use. Rinse Aid lasts for around 15 Days once refilled depending upon your usage.
Dishwasher Detergent Powder: This will cost you around Rs.150-350 for 1 kg depending on the brand you are using. 1 KG Dishwasher Detergent lasts for about a month depending on your usage.
Dishwasher Tablet: This will cost you around Rs.15-30 per tablet depending on the brand. The advantage of the Dishwasher Tablet over the Dishwasher Detergent is that most of the tablets contain the Dishwasher Salt and Rinse Aid in it so you need not buy it separately, you need to check the description of the tablet which you are buying for this. 1 tablet is used for 1 wash cycle.
